January 12th, 2026 marked the inauguration of the expansion of our Home Care production at the Binzagr Unilever Factory (BUL) in Saudi Arabia, a significant milestone in advancing our local manufacturing footprint. The event was attended by representatives from key government entities including the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, MODON, the Saudi Exports Development Authority, and the Ministry of Investment, alongside our valued partner Binzagr Group. The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Ali Fuat Orhonoglu, our General Manager of Home Care in Pakistan, Türkiye, Arabia and Bangladesh, who emphasized the strategic relevance of this step for Unilever’s Home Care business in the region.

This inauguration represents more than the start of OMO liquid detergent product manufacturing; it reflects a broader commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s industrial development agenda, strengthening local capabilities, and positioning the Kingdom as a key manufacturing base for high-quality consumer goods. Expanding Home Care production helps stimulate local value creation through increased sourcing, enhanced supply chains, and further development of technical expertise and skills within the manufacturing sector.

For Unilever’s Home Care business, this milestone reinforces our focus on innovation designed for local needs. Producing OMO liquid detergent products in Saudi Arabia enables us to formulate with the local consumer in mind — caring for abayas, local fabric needs, and unique washing habits — while also integrating more sustainable product solutions, including biodegradable ingredients and packaging designed with environmental impact in consideration.

By expanding our capabilities at the Binzagr Unilever Factory, we are strengthening our long-term commitment to the Kingdom and contributing to the continued growth of the fast-moving consumer goods industry. This inauguration demonstrates how partnership between industry, government entities, and local talent can translate ambition into tangible outcomes for consumers, the economy, and the manufacturing ecosystem.
