November 4th, 2025 marked the launch of a back-hauling agreement with our key partner Panda in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The initiative keeps trucks full in both directions, eliminating unnecessary trips, optimizing operational lead times, and reducing emissions. As a result, CO₂ emissions were reduced by 5.6%, while operational lead time improved by 40%, demonstrating the tangible benefits of smarter logistics practices.

This agreement contributes directly to Unilever’s global Net Zero by 2039 ambition, aligns with our global logistics goal of reducing emissions by 50% by 2030, and supports Saudi Arabia’s national goal of achieving Net Zero by 2060. It illustrates the impact of adopting innovative solutions, leveraging collaboration across Customer Operations, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams, and prioritizing both efficiency and sustainability in every journey.
