Receiving the award

December 22nd, 2025, Binzagr Unilever (BUL) Factory in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia has been awarded 1st Place in Environmental Sustainability at the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) Annual Excellence Awards. The award was presented by H.E. Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, recognizing the factory’s continued focus on responsible manufacturing and environmental stewardship.

The factory’s environmental sustainability efforts center on practical, measurable actions, including improved waste management, water conservation initiatives, and more efficient energy use across operations. These practices are embedded into daily ways of working, supporting Unilever’s commitment to building more sustainable manufacturing operations.

This latest recognition follows the factory’s MODON Annual Excellence Award win in Digital Transformation in 2024, highlighting a broader journey of strengthening manufacturing capabilities through both technology and sustainability. Read about it here.
